Mike Cripps Bio
Mike Cripps returns as head coach of the Bishop Feehan Girls Ice Hockey team. In just the third year of the program, the girls qualified for the playoffs as the 7th ranked team in D1. They won their first two playoff games and lost in the Round of 8.
Coach Cripps started his coaching career as the boy’s JV coach at Mansfield High School, where he spent 6 years coaching. Then Coach Cripps became the head coach at Attleboro High School for 9 years. Attleboro qualified for the playoffs in 6 out of the 9 seasons. As head coach, Cripps led the team to a historic 3 playoff wins and the Division 3 South semifinals in 2014-2015. After taking a year off, Cripps served as an assistant varsity coach for the Medfield High School Girls Hockey team for two years prior to coming to Bishop Feehan.
Sports have always been a big part of Coach Cripps’ life, especially hockey. Being part of sports teams during high school created memories that he still cherishes. Some of the reasons why he coaches are to help share his love and knowledge of the game, as well as to help student athletes have positive experiences that they will remember for years to come.
