Virnelli brings seven years of experience as a head athletic trainer in the secondary school setting and comes to Bishop Feehan from Sharon High School. Beyond her work with student-athletes in the secondary school setting, Jenna has a background working with semi-pro adult league Football (Mill City Eagles), Masspike Volleyball Camps, leading Strength and Conditioning camps, and in the clinical physical therapy setting.
“We are thrilled to have Jenna join our staff,” said Feehan Athletic Director Christian Schatz. “Jenna brings a great energy as well as a wealth of knowledge and experience to our athletic department. She is passionate about working with student-athletes and very excited to be a Shamrock! Jenna will certainly help provide a safe, healthy, and rewarding experience for our student-athletes.”
As a licensed Certified Athletic Trainer, Virnelli is a multi-skilled healthcare professional whose primary goal is to prevent injury by encouraging student-athletes to grow their strengths and improve upon their weaknesses. She has worked with a variety of athletes over the years and specializes in working with pediatric athletes with orthopedic injuries.
Virnelli will provide clinical evaluation and lead student-athletes in maintaining wellness, while also offering emergency planning and response, game supervision, and rehabilitation.
A four-year academic scholarship student, Virnelli graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Merrimack College.
